Over the past fifty years David Levine has penned thousands of caricatures and
painted hundreds of paintings. He has caricatured great literary, artistic and political figures and has been published regularly in the New York Review of Books, Time Magazine and the New Yorker. But he also paints masterly watercolors and, for Levine, Brooklyn and Coney Island are as inspiring as Florence would have been for the Renaissance master. Today, David Levine is considered to be one of this country's foremost watercolorists. |
